On 29th July 2024, the South African RangeX team ran the Policy & Practice Workshop at the 59th Congress of the Grassland Society of Southern Africa (GSSA). The Workshop enabled the team to showcase the South African RangeX preliminary results to a hybrid audience of about 80 people. High profile academics Prof. William Bond and Prof. Brian van Wilgen presented high-impact talks on related topics on native and non-native range-expanding species and impacts in the region. A policy brief is in development from the event.
